THANK YOU to the 46 volunteers for helping with our October beach clean.

We covered the beach in both directions from Lagoon Pier. Some volunteers also did garden areas across Beach Rd.

Here are the stats for the items we counted from our efforts in an hour:

9 plastic bottles, worth 10 cents each

7 glass bottles, worth 10 cents each

13 cans, worth 10 cents each

21 coffee cups/lids

55 bottle tops

1 syringe

Great team effort!

Thanks again everyone!

Our beaches, marine life & bird life thank you too!

Our next group clean will be held

Saturday 1 November

An email will be sent beforehand with details.

Remember if you do individual cleans, please use our LitterStopper app to record your efforts.

There are 4 options to choose from: full audit, partial audit, standard BeachPatrol clean (counting glass bottles, plastic bottles, alum cans, coffee cups/lids and bottle tops) or a no sorting clean.

All data goes directly to our BeachPatrol website and the LitterWatch portal of DEECA, Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action.

Email us (3207@beachpatrol.com.au) for more details or if you have any queries.

Happy Beaches!
