She’s hit the ground running with the launch of her second single

“The Chasing Game.”

In 2025, Nicolette Forte realised a lifelong dream, of playing AFL in a team – something she hadn’t done since being aged out of the game when she was 13 years old…..a tale told similarly  by so many millennial women.

She played a full season for the Parkside Spurs, and came out as the second top goal scorer of the league, affectionately known as Nico Kicko…

The Chasing Game is the second single from her upcoming album ‘A Little Piece.”

It is an upbeat anthem that tells a story…. A story of, well, ‘running’.

“We are always running towards or away from something, or someone (or ourselves…)”  says Nicolette as she muses on the physical and metaphorical message of this song.

“This song is about being playful, not taking everything so seriously, having banter, flirtation, and just enjoying being playful in the game of it all.”

The film clip of The Chasing Game is a testament to the Sports community and is to be released on the eve of the AFL grand final.

The video shows powerful women playing together, in their joy, in their pride, in their resilience. Many of these women share similar stories to little Nicolette. Many Women can reflect on times when we have been shut out of something we felt so sure was for us, many of us have had to run just to keep up.

The Chasing Game reminds us to play the game light-heartedly, but still with intention and conviction.

The video clip is a big celebratory hug that reminds us that it isn’t ever too late.

It celebrates all of us – not just The Parkside Spurs, but every member of every sports club that provides a culture and space for belonging.

Every club that raises young girls to be strong, and every club that provides the opportunity for Women to play on…

It celebrates and captures a spirit that determines why so many of us need a public holiday for a Grand Final!

It shows what it is to be part of a team, friendship, camaraderie, ‘running’ together in a collective love for a beautiful game….. and of course, lots of dogs.
