The Alex Theatre Project – Your chance to have your say!

Over the last 7 years led by our Founder Aleksandar Vass OAM, the Vass Theatre Group has invested approximately 18 million dollars in the growth and the development of the entertainment industry through the Alex Theatre project in St Kilda.

We recognise as a 10-year project the next 3 years are critical to achieving our objectives and the outcomes that will benefit the surrounding residential and local business communities. With this in mind, we would like to put to our community the following three questions and gain your feedback/insight.

1. 1. What would you like to see develop through the Alex Theatre site?
      • Alex Theatre site: 133-135 Fitzroy Street (Boulevard) St Kilda (like the Tardis this site is larger on the inside so if you have not been within, please Click Here to have a look at what you have been missing.
   2. If the site were to be redeveloped, what would you like to see the site used for other than a Theatre/Cinema complex.
      1. 1. 1. Social Housing
            2. Commercial Offices
            3. Extension of the existing residential complex
            4. Other?
            5. Please leave it as it is!
   3. If we were to invest an additional two million dollars in 2022 for the development of content for stage and/or screen, what would you like to see us do with this investment?

   2. no promises – there are a lot of innovative ideas out there and we can’t do them all.
   3. any investment is just that an investment. We strongly believe in the word ‘business’ within Show Business! This means we want to see a return within our community, prosperity not only within the Alex Theatre but the surrounding businesses and community.

We are committed to Port Phillip as an area within Melbourne and our love of St Kilda means that our commitment to the revitalisation of Fitzroy Street is as strong today as it was back in 2015 when this current journey started.
