Mick created TAGG - The Alternative Gig Guide in 1979 with Helmut Katterl, the world's first real Street Magazine. He had been involved with his father's publishing business, Toorak Times and associated publications since 1972.  Mick was also involved in Melbourne's music scene for a number of years opening venues, discovering and managing bands and providing information and support for the industry.        

Gallie’s upcoming album was recorded in Nashville Tennessee with Grammy award-winning producer Erick Jaskowiak. Erick gathered together an impressive band to record this album- Robert Plant’s bassist, Jack White’s violinist, Hozier’s pianist, Emmylou Harris’ drummer, and John Prime’s mandolinist.

Gallie’s soon-to-be-released work follows on from his critically acclaimed album ‘The Occoquan River’. Having played this year (2023), Port Fairy festival to standing ovations, showcasing the new songs, Gallie and the band are raring to get on the road to share this new body of work.

The first single and video ‘Could We Run’, an intricate Acoustic groove that showcases not only Gallie’s writing skills but also the musicianship of the best session musicians that Nashville Music City has to offer.

Of Gallie’s upcoming album, after listening back in the control booth, Fats Kaplin (Jack White, John Prime, Nanci Griffith), turned and said in a deep New York accent, “We got ourselves a hit there boys”.

Gallie and the band will be touring from October this year.

The Album is due for release in early 2024.
