The Alex Cafe explores the world of the writer… not just authors but screenplay writers, songwriters, poets, in fact, any writer since the phrase “The pen is mightier than the sword” was coined.
Authors Dick Gross AM and Susan Berg host the show with contributions from Poet Hamish Danks Brown and the occasional guest writer for interviews, new releases, and live performances.

The Alex Café has a low-key private art aesthetic. Lit by natural and ambient lighting, so comforting in this harsh world the cafe feels like a hidden basement speakeasy. The Alex Cafe’s decor, however, is unlike anything you would see in an antique cafe. The walls of the cafe reflect the cafe’s modern take on the 1920’s private nature of a bar where access is only by invitation when you know the hidden symbol, and enjoyment was prohibition’s worst-kept secret.
Admission to The Alex Café is through your creative imagination only making access to the establishment elite to those in the know…
We cover amazing stories like the interview that Susan Berg had with Keith Bulfin about his book ‘Undercover’ which is his life story from investment banking, money laundering to working with the Mexican drug cartels.
