Mick created TAGG - The Alternative Gig Guide in 1979 with Helmut Katterl, the world's first real Street Magazine. He had been involved with his father's publishing business, Toorak Times and associated publications since 1972.  Mick was also involved in Melbourne's music scene for a number of years opening venues, discovering and managing bands and providing information and support for the industry.

It’s been a marathon high wire act getting here, and now my album is complete, my contemplations are complete, and soon my mission will be complete.

March 11 – Belmar Records Grubby Rhythm and Soul Vol 1 Launch at Jazzlab!

Maestro Steve Purcell, a mover and shaker of epic proportions is releasing yet another Belmar Records album, SP tirelessly creates, collaborates and bends genres with Melbourne’s music makers. I got a guernsey and recorded a duet with Continental Robert Susz. Conti is stuck, dry and safe, in NSW so my partner on the night will be the electric Rod Paine.

Looking forward to singing with a stellar band including Tim Neal and Andrew Swann, who are also doing their hits, AND my friend Kerri Simpson AND Mon Shelford. Get groovy.

March 25 – The Athenaeum Theatre Library  6 – 7pm

At last. One of our finest hours has arrived. This is our  third attempt to take the cbd by storm.
Finally, after two cancellations, several reschedules and countless prayers, we’re re-launching LOVE TOWN in the style it deserves. We’d planned to do this last year, twice, and it seems fitting to re-release one of our favourite songs in the unrivalled atmosphere of the library where time stands still  to our first audience since May 2021.

Acoustic guitar, vibraphone, percussion and our best voices will float in and around the Athenaeum when Amy and I are…🎼 Reunited, and it feels so good 🎼 – Thank you Peaches and Herb.

Love Town is a jangly, country pop tale of a late night departure from the honeymoon suite.

Folky acoustic, and baritone guitars blend with tambourines and angelic harmonies to soften the blow of lovers separated by miles and misdemeanours. Bruised feelings have never sounded so sweet.

The song features Dom Mariani, Ash Davies, Ben Franz & Amy Valent Curlis.

We’ll also be previewing songs from the new album DREAMLAND and hope to have have physical copies for you.

Tickets sell fast to these shows with a capacity of 80 seats, 40 tix are still available but they won’t last so be swift in your purchasing.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’ve just confirmed May27 for the DREAMLAND
Album Launch ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I’m taking my feministas (and a few gentlemen) back to GEORGE LANE in St Kilda.

I haven’t decided on the dress code yet, but I’m thinking along the lines of your dream fashion statement, which means it can be as weird or as wonderful as you like.

I’ll send all the info about the launch, ticketing and pre-sale, pre-order, prepare yourself options next month.

I’m feeling enthusiastic and hopeful.

Sending you all the wind beneath my wings.
