Taking a quick breath to look back on 20 years of service from
Christ Church Mission’s Community Centre, St Kilda
It’s in our DNA to look forward but, for a few minutes, we’ve looked at what we’ve done over the last 20 years. Knowing so many people have generously made the last 20 years possible gives us encouragement to keep going. Thank you to all those people: donors, volunteers and staff. The photo above takes us back to 2002 when the building of our Centre started.
The photo below takes us back to 23 August 2003 when our then-local member, Hon John Thwaites, opened the Centre.
And here we are (above) on 22 August 2023 in our Baxter Hall. Our neighbours joined us in a fundraising meal to celebrate the first 20 years. The meal replicated our normal Thursday night Open House meal. It was an opportunity for neighbours to discover what goes on in our Centre.
