Mick created TAGG - The Alternative Gig Guide in 1979 with Helmut Katterl, the world's first real Street Magazine. He had been involved with his father's publishing business, Toorak Times and associated publications since 1972.  Mick was also involved in Melbourne's music scene for a number of years opening venues, discovering and managing bands and providing information and support for the industry.        

We’re still buzzing after a huge weekend at the Victorian Pride Centre and want to say a massive thank you to everyone who came along and made it so special. With more than 4,500 people through the Centre on Sunday, the energy was truly unforgettable. And while VPC ’Summa is nearly wrapping up, we’re not done just yet. Read on for our final week of queer excellence and let’s go out with a bang.

Final Flutter – The Butterfly Club

Join us for a resplendent ‘cabaret wake’ for Melbourne’s iconic cabaret venue The Butterfly Club.

Hosted by decorated cabaret clown and former Venue Manager of The Butterfly Club, Six Inches Uncutthis one-off special evening will feature guest performances, a photo exhibition, DJ and room to boogie!

It is also the official launch of the commemorative photobook project Curtain Call by Lucky Frawley

Dementia Australia: Staying Connected in Pride

Dementia Australia: Staying Connected in Pride morning tea provides an opportunity to connect and learn more about the support and upcoming initiatives at Dementia Australia, including the LGBT+ online hub in partnership with ACON, intended to improve access to inclusive, affirming information and support for people affected by dementia. You’ll hear also from Dementia Australia and community organisation representatives, and enjoy light refreshments and entertainment.

Trans & Gender Diverse Clothes Swap

How much have things changed (or not) for LGBTIQA+ young people over time? Did they teach you any LGBTIQA+ history at school? Would you like to find out more?

These are opportunities to explore LGBTIQA+ stories from the past, meet other LGBTIQA+ young people, have fun making stuff and contribute to a research project exploring what LGBTIQA+ young people think about LGBTIQA+ history today.
