__________________________________________Frank Howson’s paintings are windows into the soul—vivid, emotional, and deeply human. Blending memory, identity, and lived experience, his art captures the quiet complexities of life and love. With each brushstroke, he creates a world rich in feeling and story, leaving behind a legacy of beauty and truth.

Frank Howson was a passionate Australian filmmaker, writer, producer, and painter whose work spanned decades and mediums. Known for exploring themes of identity and the human experience, he brought emotional depth to both his films and his art. He passed away February 2024, at the age of 71. His legacy continues to inspire the Australian arts community.

Seems fitting to have a legend such as FRANK HOWSON as our final SOLO show at Brightspace, Martin Street.
