COUNCIL CONSULTATION – FOOTPATH TRADING FEES

Council is proposing changes to the way it calculates annual permit fees for businesses that place tables, chairs, and other items on footpaths.

Currently, these fees vary across the municipality and are based on average retail rent values. Under the proposed changes, fees would instead be calculated based on the area occupied, measured in square metres.

Have your say by completing the feedback form or uploading your feedback by Sunday 21 September 2025.

For further details, you can review the Have Your Say, Footpath Trading Fee Policy.
